Our father, Dr. Gbolagade Kola Adegoke, was a man whose life spoke more loudly than words. Born in Ibadan on 18 February 1958, our father’s journey was one marked by discipline, perseverance, and a deep love for learning. From his early years through decades of teaching and scholarship, education was not merely his profession but his calling. He devoted over thirty years of his life to shaping minds, mentoring students, and building capacity across Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Whether teaching physics, engineering, or computer science, he had a rare gift for making complex ideas simple and meaningful, always with patience and compassion.

Beyond his academic achievements, our father was a man of character and faith. Integrity guided his actions, humility shaped his relationships, and kindness defined his interactions. He was a devoted husband, a loving and supportive father, and a steadfast mentor whose encouragement lifted many toward their full potential. His home was a place of warmth, learning, and moral grounding, where values were taught not by force, but by example.

His contributions to research, professional bodies, national examinations, and public education reflect a life committed to service beyond personal gain. Yet, despite his accomplishments, he remained remarkably modest—never seeking recognition, only impact.

Though his earthly journey ended in 2025, our father’s legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the students he inspired, and the values he instilled in us.
